Dr. Dickson is amazing. She made me feel incredibly at ease about my dog's issues and treatment plan. I have no doubt in her abilities to treat any animal!

We called Maryville, they said the vet who sees Guinea pigs had quit there, they told us call Knox. We did. Got all the way there, the guy says idk who make this appointment but the vet who sees the guinea pig is outta town but we’ll figure something out. Mind you I live in monroe county so this was a drive in the first place. Hour after my appt they see him and recommend antibiotics and fluids, DIDNT check his temp (common sense) or anything. Then when we went to the lobby to wait on the meds my son was playing barley making any noise and the vet came and screamed at him. 110$ later get home , meds given, wake up and my Guinea pig is DEAD. they haven’t called since to check on him anyways so how would they know? Pigs in the store were sick , told them. Funny how the guinea pigs are supposed to be vet checked but they don’t have a exotic vet there. Waste of time and money and my 2 year olds heartbroken because his pig is dead!

Just left here after paying a huge sum of money to be told that I am abusing my beloved pup. I have used Banfield for almost 2 years now, but after today I won't be coming back. My 10 month old shepherd went in for a torn nail that he got from a fight with an aggressive dog. They ended up having to remove his nail, but they did so with no numbing agent or sedation, which was extremely sensitive. I'm 8 months pregnant and he's extremely attached to me, to the point where I have to have somebody come dog sit for me when I'm at work to keep him from getting too anxious, so he was in pain and without me near to soothe him. When they brought him back out to me, the vet had a huge packet telling me how to train him and also had the PetSmart trainers come try to consult with me. I refuse to use the PetSmart trainers after already wasting my money on them for private lessons and seeing no difference. They are also not AKC evaluators, so how am I supposed to get his S.T.A.R Puppy and CGC certifications through them? The trainer we currently see has turned my boy around obedience wise, AND is an evaluator. My boy already has his S.T.A.R Puppy certification and is on track for his CGC when he turns a year old. At this point, they're accusing me of abusing my dog and telling me to consider rehoming my pup because he's anxious after having something painful done to him. I am absolutely livid over this accusation, because my boy only gets the best of the best from me and is obviously well taken care of. Before we cancelled our plan, I just wanted to make it known that I felt that this encounter was extremely unprofessional and has turned me off of PetSmart for good.

I would not reccomend this place to anyone. This place is way over priced. They are a very money hungry business. They vets may seem nice but they didn't know what they were doing when it came to my dog. After wasting $300 on a "food allergy" diet plan for three months found out my dog had an ear infections that two different vets looked at and just overlooked. The medicine is over priced compared to anywhere else you go. Even after they neglected to see my dogs ear infection we decided to give them another chance (because we had spent money on the one year puppy wellness plan) WORST DECISION EVER!! We got fed a bunch of lies after my fiancé lost his debit card and missed some payments. We were happy to pay what we owed but we were told that once it was paid he could get fixed (by more then 1 person up front) only to get there and then telling us AFTER we paid for our puppy plan that INCLUDED the neutering of our dog that they were not going to do it. They just wanted to money and didn't give a care in the world about my dog for a second time. It is ridiculous and unsettling. On a positive note: the vets office is very clean and smells nice for a vets office.

My cat had a problem with sneezing and breathing, and I ended up seeing the vet at Banfield quite a few times with this problem - Nothing they did worked, I was just wasting my money again and again. Also, the vet took an unprofessionally long time to call in one of the prescriptions. I left several messages for her when I found out the pharmacy hadn't received the order yet, and she took days to call it in. My poor kitty missed doses of her medicine because the vet took so long to refill.

Finally, I decided to get a new vet and this one managed to get my kitty healthy on the first try. Save your time and money and don't go to Banfield.
