Ramp is slick, and you don't have to weight in too far. Downside is, the water is dirty and there are leeches! The pollution needs to be cleaned from around the shore. There are bottles, old toys, and other things floating around in the water. There are also NO restrooms or changing areas.
Nice spot to put it smaller boats. There is a pavilion as well as swimming area.
Good place to put your boat in the water. A lot of people fish at the side of the ramp.
Good picnic area, and nice shady spots too.
From a quiet day of fishing to competative row boat races, the Bull Run park is a great and convenient place for the outdoor enthusiasts. There are many varieties of water fowls and an occasional whitetail deer have been known to visit the park. There is a play center for the kids, a paved bicycle/walking path, and public restrooms. Some of the parking areas are not paved, but the beauty of the surrounding mountians will make you over look that.
The trailer parking is wired and has a very narrow ramp...fishing is pretty good though
