Truck was fine, but when I got the bill it has 2 charges. One for $164 and another for $491! I've tried to call several times and Verizon keeps telling me the number has been "Changed, Disconnected, or no longer in service". I plan on driving by soon, but...who knows. I also rented 2 trucks from U-haul near the mall (I apparently own too much stuff). They were a little slow, but at least they were competent, and they guys were nice.
I reserved a truck a few days in advance for a reasonable price & once I go to parkside location they changed my rental agreement without telling me my price went up about $100.00 for the day. I even mentioned to the girl working what price I was quoted online & she says yes like it was the same. I highly recommend dealing with another location.
I am very surprised at the low rating I saw posted. I had a great experience with Penske. I rented a truck in Knoxville, picked it up in Charlotte and returned it to the west Knoxville location. Everything went smoothly and I felt the cost was very reasonable. Every representative I talked with, either personally or over the phone, was curteous and professional. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
I am the owner of a local moving company and I have had awesome experiences with this Penske location. Both front desk guys, Adam and Andrew are outstanding. They always go above and beyond to make sure I am taking care of. They even through in some extra supplies on them. I would chalk up their other reviews to people unwilling to learn how the process works. I will be using these guys everytime I need an extra truck in that area. Thanks again guys.
