Farragut option of Bearden original. Very good range of Italian dishes, well-prepared and served by friendly staff. Much better than standard restaurant chain fare.
We arrived on a Saturday evening a couple hours after a home game and found the large space about 2/3rd's full. The hosts and servers were quick and very pleasant.
We ordered drinks and an appetizer (Fried ricotta ravioli) which was piping hot and very tasty without being oily at all. We also ordered the margherita pizza which had a thin crispy crust and was very good. Nice simple flavors that were clean between the crust, light sauce and mozzarella and sliced basil. My wife said it reminded her of her stop in Naples.
Would definitely recommend and will be returning to try other items on the menu.
Manicotti had so much mozzarella cheese it was like chewing rubber. I've never not finished a meal at any Italian restaurant, but I left hungry. The accompanying bread was pretty flavorless - I've had better frozen garlic bread. They should also warn that their house salads have hot peppers throughout. Nice atmosphere, but I would not return.
I can't tell you if the food is good because we just walked out after waiting for over 20 min for someone to take our order... on the flip side as I was walking out the hostess was prompt to open the door for us... lol (2 months to answer my review shows how quick you are hahahaha)
Calzone was delicious! Tomato sauce actually tasted like tomatoes rather than just full of sugar. I certainly will be coming back. Service was good although I got served my calzone quite a few minutes before my dinner companion was served. Saw lots of folks constantly cleaning, not just standing around.
