I had a very mixed experience with Jos. A Bank. I got a suit that I liked well enough, but it developed a run in the leg after I wore it a couple of times. The tailor I went to told me that she couldn't fix it in any way that would look acceptable, but she assured me it was a defect in the fabric and that she was sure any reputable company would make it right. When I tried to exchange the pants at the store I can only describe the experience as getting stonewalled. He told me he couldn't even exchange the pants at but would have to exchange the whole suit since they were a set and that no one could make any exchanges until the manager returned in a few weeks time. Now I'm sure the first claim is false since they mixed and matched pants and coat when I was buying the suit and the second strikes me as pretty fishy as well since I doubt a company would leave a store unable to do something as basic as make any exchanges whenever the manager goes on vacation. Not only that he wouldn't even give me a definite date when the manager would be in. After that I contacted corporate and after talking to them and the manager I eventually got a full refund even though it was technically after the return date. Corporate was helpful (if they did put me on hold for a bit) and the manager quite courteous and professional-- and I'll admit by this point I wasn't so courteous myself-- but then again it really didn't need to go that far. I'd have been happier and definitely less of a thorn in their side had the guy I dealt with initially just done an exchange. I'm not sure if I'd deal with them again if I had it to do over. I wouldn't exactly recommend this particular location, though I wouldn't say stay away either. And my experience with their corporate office was about as good as you can expect these days.
This store has some of the worst customer service my wife and I have ever experienced. Lazy and apathetic, then rude if you actually manage to get their attention. If you really want to shop at Jos. A. Bank, find another store.
Purchased 3 suits in February from and tailored by Jos A Bank in Turkey Creek. Service was fantastic and can’t say enough great things about Todd Rowland. But my suits didn’t last long. Expected to get more than 6 months out of a suit. I’m very low activity and sit majority of the day. I guess I should have stood more because my slacks are beyond repair and the seat in my newest suit is torn pretty bad from normal wear. I’m now in need of at least 3 more suits ASAP. And that takes time to turn around. Can’t say I would recommend the product, but the service was excellent.
