Great place to get a cheap gym membership at. They have just about everything. I just wish they had a sauna and a pool.

I've had my membership for 1.5 yrs, I need to cancel my membership since now I'm not close enough to a planet fitness gym. I go into the closest one to me since I have the black card membership meaning I have access to any of the gym in the nation.. I tried to call and cancel but they said I need to be in person so they know it's not some random person calling to cancel. So I came into the closest one to me at this time. I'm then told that I have to be in person at the particular gym I signed up with which is a good 45 minutes away. I asked if he could call that gym to see if they could cancel over the phone since I'm in person at this gym. His response was well I'm pretty sure they're gonna say no but I guess I can call. When he spoke to that gym he didn't try at all for me, all he said was hey this is ___ from this gym I have someone hear that needs to cancel from your gym. I already told her she has to come there, do you agree with me?.. that's not trying to help me at all! Trying to cancel with this gym has been a complete headache!
I had an amazing experience here. The staff are so friendly and the place was really clean. I read some of the other reviews and for the most part, it looks like these people just didn't take the time to read the policies in their agreement and the deal with the tanning goggles, that's not terrible customer service, that's state law. Maybe you should know your facts before you act like a child and wish a business into failure all because they wouldn't break the rules or the law. I was visiting this club from out of town, and it was smaller than mine back home, but it was a great facility. I look forward to coming back in next time I'm visiting.
Cancelled my membership at Planet Fitness due to the staff and complications at this location. The night guy is careless about the rules and we are pretty sure he forged my boyfriend's signature on his transfer because he did not sign anything when he was given the new card. The cancellation policies are ridiculous (I know this has nothing to do with this location in particular). I had been in three separate time to try and cancel and was not made aware of the policy that you have ten days into the month to cancel or you have to wait until the payment goes through (it does say this in the contract though, I just didn't read it and thought they should tell me when I tried to cancel the first time). The gym is quite large and offers a lot of equipment, tanning, and massage beds. It's not a bad establishment, but the staff needs retraining.
