I have no issues with the gym, just no time to go. I requested to cancel my membership...within 2 hours Shawna Martin (Operations Manager) responded and processed my request! I very much appreciate your efficient professionalism!
Demarcus was very rude and unprofessional. I have an elite membership that I'm grandfathered into and you can bring a friend. I go to golds at east town mall with a guest... No problem! I go to the golds by Lovell rd with a guest... No problem! I go to the gold off walkersprings with a guest and Demarcus said "no we don't have that anymore " doesn't offer me a different package or my guest a day pass or give me any information on an updated package. Will not ever go to this gym again and will probably switch gyms due to Golds has employees like Demarcus working for them and have high lack of people skills and manners.
Nice gym. Changing rooms could be cleaner and better maintained...
I do not recommend Gold's gym. It is impossible to cancel your membership. I've called and was told that the manager is the only person who can cancel the membership. I emailed the manager and still have not heard back. I don't have time to hunt down the manager and find out when they will be at the gym. Second issue: Broken and defective equipment is labeled that they are broken.
NEVER give these people your credit card. I read reviews exactly like the one you are reading warning me of their borderline criminal billing practices. I paid in cash in advance for EVERY renewal (almost 4 years worth). I never consented to be billed (despite what they will claim) past my prepaid term, and I NEVER signed a contract. Nonetheless, I received a letter stating my name had been submitted to collections. Sorry, business is a voluntary transaction between consenting parties. Not only did I NOT consent, but I never visited the gym after my prepaid term ended. You do not get to charge people a) without their consent and b) without rendering services. That's called FRAUD in the court system. After a not-so-friendly visit, this little issue was 'resolved', but I am still waiting for any sign of renewed collections claims. If I receive such a notice, I will be taking legal action. Accounting aside, the gym is in a constant state of disrepair and filth/visible grime.
