Visited for the first time yesterday, apparel selection much like a lot of boutiques in Knoxville. I think the prices are too high considering the quality level and lack of unique merchandise. It looked like they had a lot of the same stuff as Bliss, without the appeal of shopping on the square. The sales prices were much better, but they had so much shoved on each rack that it was hard to shop through. If you are patient enough to dig it's probably worth checking out. I doubt I'll be returning.
if you are more than a size 8, don't bother. styles and sizes for young, slender women.
I can't express the AMAZING service I received from not just this Altar'd State, but from the Austin, TX store as well. I had found a pair of boots on Altar'd States online store that I had been eyeing and had finally went on sale. I was disappointed when I went to select my size and it was unavailable. I then decided to contact them via facebook hoping maybe I would be so lucky that one store might have them in my size. To my surprise I was contacted back the same day with great news that the Austin store had them and they would contact me. I was contacted by a lovely girl I believe named Andrea, salesperson:120039 as it shows on my receipt, from the Austin store and finally purchased my boots at the SALE PRICE! To me I was very impressed with the customer service I was shown by Alter'd Sate as a company in whole. I really didn't expect for them to go out of their way knowing that the boots were on sale (marked down already with an additional 40% off!) and probably only made a whopping 5-10% off the sale if that. It really showed that they are all about the customer and I truly appreciated it! I will definitely be shopping there more often.

My first time stepping into the shop was like I walked into a Bohemian world. The outfits are beautiful, the staff is sweet and helpful, and I felt like a part of me belongs there. I'd love to stop by more often.
