I called 2 days ago to schedule an exact pickup time for today. After 45 minutes passed I called them again to let them know I needed a pickup. I was a little frustrated because I had already done my prep work and due diligence to schedule the pickup but ok, whatever. After waiting another 40 minutes or so I called them again and was informed that no one knew I needed a pickup. Are. You. Kidding. Me?! It has now been another 30 minutes and I still haven't been picked up. For one of their main selling points and something they boast about in all of their commercials, they really don't execute it very well.
I ended up walking out the first time I attempted to rent a vehicle for a day trip that I needed for work. They wanted too much third party information (lists of relatives not living with me) after already requiring a utility bill, which I had to attempt to locate on my phone.
I ended up driving my own vehicle that day. Now I have my company reserve the cars and put them on the corporate cards. I probably won't ever rent here for personal use again.
Enterprise was my #1 choice for car rental service for some of their accommodations, they could pick you up or drop you off within 5 miles. Today they informed me I could not leave my car their anymore when renting a car. This was probably my favorite accommodation because it made life a bit easier not having to find transportation to enterprise. I was disappointed to over hear a staff member say they will get use to it. I realize enterprise might do this do to liability, but a form could be signed exempting them from liability.
Was very busy but they worked fast to take care of everyone. Good experience. Will use again as I have in the past.
There is zero disclaimers about renting a car with a debit card. I think I would have been less upset had they identified these requirements when I made the reservation on line. Credit cards are evil and I won't ever have another one.
The staff was perfect! The car was super clean and great! The reason for only three stars is that apparently a local executive for Enterprise decided to not allow customers to leave their vehicles on the lot. I was actually advised the day of my rental, but was allowed to leave my vehicle that one last time. The main reason I used this Enterprise was because it was located near the interstate and you could leave a vehicle when traveling out of town for business. Their lot has plenty of room. I am sure liability is one reason for the drastic change, but there are simple solutions that should be explored. Again, the staff was great but this new business decision is not. I will have to rent from another competitor on all future rentals. The convenience factor when traveling on business is a must. It is hard for my schedule (and I assume others as well) to plan ahead and schedule a specific time to have Enterprise pick me up at a location. As such, I am hoping they reconsider this decision.
