And finally the curriculum, I was so happy to hear that TCAP tests were a thing of the past, but now they have TNReady tests and all my kids seem to be learning is what they need to know to pass the tests. Their job is helping my children get ready for the "real world", not how to pass a stupid test.

Honestly too overcrowded and parents are never fully informed so everything is constantly chaos. I'm tired, everyone's tired, the teachers are tired, I need more sleep.

I've found many condoms in the senior lot

My kids are both attending this school. At first, I was happy they were going to attend Bearden because both their dad and I graduated from there as well as my parents. I have to say that my son's first year there was a complete disappointment. Let's start with the morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures. It's a complete joke. Parents are supposed to drop off and pick up at the front of the school and nowhere else. Yet, every day parents stop right by the sign that says "Please Do Not Drop Off or Pick Up Students Here". This causes back-ups especially in the afternoon when parents are waiting for their kids to come out to them and other cars cannot get past them. Once you finally get to the front of the school, the inner lane and the outer lane are where kids are supposed to get out of the cars, with the middle lane for through traffic. Kids getting out of cars in the outer lane are now in danger of being hit by cars coming through the middle lane, not to mention car doors being hit as they are opened. I would opt to put my kids on the bus, but since the bus they're supposed to ride is so overcrowded, they are not able to sit down in a seat.

Lunchtime is an even bigger joke. There are so many kids attending this school that they operate 3 different lunches allowing only 30 minutes per lunch. My children have only been able to actually get lunch from the cafeteria twice this year. The school is supposed to provide a lunch for my children and I do not have the money to spare, especially after buying all the school supplies, paying all the fees and class "donations", to buy pack lunches of cold sandwiches and chips.

meh

I have been to school for both Open House and Laptop Deployment and both were just absolute chaos with absolutely no real planning at all. There has been a fight at that school at least once a week.

My child just started here and I am satisfied so far as the principal and staff are VERY instrumental in getting these kids to college.
