In recent years, Paul Phelps has been demoted from lead pastor to one of about five outreach workers.

about Jesus, anyone who feels beaten up by life, or anyone who is looking for a group of Christians to work with to "do" Grace in the lives of others!

If you have an appointment with Paul Phelps, don't expect him to keep it. If he gets a better offer (such as officiating at a wedding in Gatlinburg, for which he earns extra money), he will not even bother notifying you.

We've been blessed and this church has been part of it. May God bless Pastor Paul and this church!

Especially if you are a woman, you will end up the target of his underlying hostility. His response to the barbs that he throws at women? "I have a wife and daughters." So what?

Take caution if Paul Phelps wants to "help" you. He seeks out vulnerable people, and then he takes advantage of them financially (example: he insists that the people under his "care" allow him to take over their personal finances to the point of handing over their checking and savings accounts to him--and if they don't, he drops them like a hot potato).

Paul Phelps is not what he appears to be. He certainly is not at all Christ-like despite the name of the church.

Paul Phelps never, ever puts his cell phone down, even in the car while driving at the request of passengers, making him hazardous at the wheel.

The Farragut Church of Christ has been wonderful to my son who has cerebral palsy. They have picked him up weekly for church and taken him home from church for almost fifteen years now, even though he lives in a group home in Fountain City. Different men from the church have made sure that he always has a ride, and they have helped fill the void of a father in his life. In addition, they help pay for someone to go three times a week and bathe him because he would have had to move to a nursing home if they had not done this. The staff Personal Worker, Paul, helps people who are homeless, mentally ill, and dealing with a number of other personal issues. He buys them medicine, gas, and groceries, as well as taking them out to eat. Many times he pays for these expenses out of his own money. The love and caring shown by this church and its members is phenomenal.

My multi year experience here has be a genuine walk of faith and I would recommend this group of Christians to any one; anyone who is curious

Awesome Preacher

In addition, he misrepresented himself on a mission trip to West Africa, allowing the local people to believe that he was a physician when he is not, failing to correct them when they called him "Dr. Paul."

There must be a good reason for his loss of stature in the church. I believe that I've just enumerated a number of them.
