Nice park, but the set up makes me feel uneasy. Too many wooded areas, not enough open area. Wouldn't go back without other adults with me.
I didn't get to see a lot of the park, because I went during my lunch break, but I was disappointed to find a discarded 12 pack container & multiple empty beer bottles & cans. I'm guessing with all the apts nearby, this park has become a partying hot spot after dark. It's a shame some people don't have the courtesy to pick up after themselves. Their selfishness ends up ruining it for everyone else.
Playground is ok... The walk you can do is about as long as you want it to be... Very wooded and peaceful... Bikes can ride and walk your pets ... Home of my park I grew up at.....
It's a fine park with decent paved walkways and some more rugged trails. However, if you're looking for a long hike this is not the place. Also, there seemed to be quite a bit of graffiti marking every sign and flat space. But the walk was quiet and the few people I did come upon were polite and friendly. Definitely a good place to walk the dogs but make sure to bring your own bags as they are not available throughout the trail.
Playround equipment and docs near the water. Love the covered picnic tables. Awesome for photos too.
