Case in point. When I received my bill, I was very upset about the $72 charges they had for my non-existent therapy sessions. After several calls to administration, they told me there was no adjustment they could do. Really?? They received over $5000 from my insurance, and I'm left to pay $358 for therapy services that I never received. Stay away from this facility.....
Worse care ever. Didn't listen to me when I said meds weren't working. Not compassionate at all. I'm guessing they employee people with no experience because all I ever saw was interns and a bad psychiatrist.
Stayed at Peninsula Hospital July 4, 2013. This hospital, I was told, was running on a skeleton crew because of the holidays. So, I was basically getting babysat instead of getting any professional help; My physician was Dr. McKenzie and saw her a total of 10 min out of the 6 days I was there. One of her sessions, she came into my room at 7ish a.m. and ask me if I was doing ok. I said, fine, and then she left. Finding out later this was my therapy session for the day. A total of 3 seconds that I was billed $72 for. I was not the only patient that was extremely unhappy about the lack of care in the Knoxville Hospital. The nursing staff and helpers where very nice. Several times they asked me what I was doing there. Because my insurance paid for a week, I felt I was kept there for that reason. I was not the only patient extremely upset about not seeing drs. I don't really feel this hospital cared about the patient as much as the loved the money they were receiving from my insurance.
I have too say they saved my life I was given excellent care from the Dr's to the PC'S. Fed great always got my Meds and I. Met Some Wonderful People.My outpatient Therapy is Great Except for Nursing. It's Like pulling teeth to get my Med refills Love My Psychitrist And Still Waiting on my Case Manager.It's been a year and I still don't have one
