Took a unicycle wheel in to replace my hub and get new spokes. Was done way sooner than I expected. These dudes are very knowledgeable!

I have been very happy with the work, helpfulness and quick service on the bikes I've brought in to CBC to have stuff done. One of the guys spent time telling me about one of the women's bikes even though he knew I was not going to buy one. I remembered that and when our daughter wanted a bike I suggested Cedar Bluff Cycles because I felt like she was going to get personal service there - and I was right. She is thrilled with the bike and the shop. They don't condescend.
They have group rides (road) twice a week and go right by our house. That's as close as I get because I'm way too slow but they have had some rides for beginners too which I need to join -- also classes to help those who need to learn basic stuff.
SHORT RIDE REVIEW: Friendly, knowledgeable staff. They won't do any unnecessary work to your bike just for the sake of charging you something.
First up, was my wife's bike. It was less than six months old, had been properly fitted to her, and was by far the most expensive of the three. The guys at CBC assessed the bike's condition, concluding that the tires needed a little air, the chain needed some grease, and some minor adjustments were needed. Within 10 minutes, all the issues were addressed, and since the adjustments were so minor, there was no charge for the service! However, we didn't leave before leaving a little cash in the 'beer fund' jar.
CROSS-COUNTRY REVIEW: I'm new to Knoxville. When we moved to the area, I had to disassemble three bikes so I could box them for the moving truck. Once the bikes were unpacked and reassembled, I thought it would be a good idea to take them into the shop to have them properly adjusted and tuned.
And the staff are on the whole friendly and welcoming. I recommend the shop.
Big thanks to Cedar Bluff Cycles for hooking it up with a sweet bike for my lady's upcoming birthday. I went in there knowing what I wanted but not expecting to walk out the door with it that day. Gerry did an outstanding job helping me make sure the bike I had chosen would work well, and as luck would have it, they just happened to have one in the size I was seeking. I'll definitely be back. The second bike, mine, was in worse shape. Nothing had been done to the bike in over 8 years. I noticed the pedals seemed a little cracked, so I figured I probably needed new ones. After looking it over, CBC said the cracking was just cosmetic--I could get new ones, but it wasn't necessary. They'd put my old ones back on the bike and get it set with a tune-up within a week. Again, I really feel like they won't try to get you to spend any money that isn't necessary or better for your biking experience.
I'll definitely return to get the third bike addressed and I feel like I've found my bike shop in Knoxville!
