I love Big Lots and Ambers. They also have the cheap movie theater.
Great movies at a discounted fare. Hard to beat the price of a ticket. It is nearly half the price of the big theaters.
This location is a great place to go if you have children. It has hot dogs, chip and dip , fresh popcorn. The popcorn you ad the butter yourself, it is so great. It also have a game room.
We still call this theater the dollar theater. I started going there back in the day when it actually cost a dollar to see a movie. But it's no where near a dollar now! The price to get in isn't too bad but the price for snacks is through the roof! I guess they have to make money somehow, right? We went Saturday night to see a movie the kids wanted to see. It's usually a clean environment and that night was no exception. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I guess my only real complaint would be that they don't have a "couples" snack option. It would be nice to have a value price option when buying for two, instead of having to buy separate, individual items. BTW, I like that they have moved the point of sale for tickets inside to the concession stand. You can get your snacks the same time you get your tickets.
It looks kind of ran-down...but it's honestly one of the places we visit most in Knoxville. The 2.50 theater is nicer than it sounds and there's always something we need at Burlington. You have to stop by the AmVets thrift store too, it's like a Goodwill but times 10!!
