WORST. EVER. This has got to be the worst service I've ever experienced. I DO not recommend this company or David James to anyone! (This is "James Painting" of KNOXVILLE, not Murfreesboro or Nashville. I want to make that clear.) I called Mr. James on 4/11 asking if he could give me an estimate to replace sheet rock tape that had begun to peel off in one corner of my new house. He said he couldn't make it on that day but offered to come by the next day. On 4/12, he came by, looked at the problem and offered to do the work for FREE b/c it was a small issue. We were so happy! We thanked him & told him we were on a VERY tight moving schedule & needed it done ASAP. We said we'd have no problem paying for it as long as the work was done immediately (we had to be out of our apartment the next week, so we had a LOT of painting to do after he fixed the wall). He insisted it was no problem & he would start Thursday (4/14) & be done Saturday (4/16) after a few treatments. We left a key under the mat but he didn't show up on Thursday. We thought something came up, so it wasn't a huge deal. But he didn't show up Friday, Saturday or Sunday either! He said he would be DONE with the multiple treatments by Saturday! I texted him Monday (4/18) asking very nicely if he still had time to do the job b/c nothing had been done. He didn't respond. I called later that day & got a hold of him, but he didn't even really acknowledge or seem to care that he never did what he promised! I know he said he'd do it for free but that's no excuse to not to do it at all! Again, he promised to do it that week & AGAIN nothing was done, nor did he call! I texted him again on 4/20 & called one last time on 4/21 (no answer either time). If he didn't have time to do the work, he shouldn't have promised it to us! I know he offered to do it for free, but empty promises mean nothing. It's like he thought that b/c he was doing it for "free," he could take his sweet time even though he knew we had a deadline. And the best part is that he hasn't called or shown up since then! B/c of him, we couldn't paint that wall on time before moving in. He delayed our progress seriously. DO NOT USE JAMES PAINTING!
