They have a more concise menu and smaller portions than what one might be used to. However, the atmosphere and staff were great. The food has a "cleaner" taste without all the sodium and extra flavoring agents that must be present in the big chain restaurants. And, being from LA (lower alabama), the shrimp was awesome. You just about can't get it fresh like that this far from the coast. Kudos to you!

If you're looking for excellent food, incredible view and ambience, this is your place. If you go during a busy time (Sunday brunch, Saturday night) I recommend call-ahead seating. Otherwise be prepared to wait 45-60 min. We've waited that before though and it's still so worth it. Plenty of seating and scenery to keep you content during that wait time (and we have two little kids). We love Lakeside Tavern. Also, Andy (server) is awesome.
I've eaten here many times. The Sunday before brunch is amazing, great for special occasions. The view is a great time waster while having a beer, or glass of wine. The food is some of the best I've had. I have never had a bad meal here. The salmon is my favorite by far.
An very nice and romantic restaurant. The bread is amazing! The food portions are huge. It's a bit expensive but the atmosphere, location, and food make it worth the price. This place reminds me of a restaurant in Clarksville, TN. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
