Called to see about my taxes and I realize it is late, but was asking about a tax form and was told to go "do it myself" and hung up on. Very unprofessional and I guess didn't care about taking my money either
Mr Ebbert is excellent that is about the best way to describe him. I had tax issues with the IRS dating back to 2009 and had multiple firms and company's working on them and spent thousand of dollars and they only got worse. He not only fixed them but he also was able to get money back from IRS. I cant tell you how relieved it made me feel to have that done and how appreciative i am for his help. there is no better service in Knoxville as far as i am concerned.

I always refer family and friends to them. In a day when the big name companies aren't likely to have the same employees from year to year, it's comforting to go in and see the same faces at Ebbert CPA. I know I'll get the same quality service as I always have, and they know me. I'm not going to see a stranger. I also appreciate their integrity and know that they are honest in everything.
My boyfriend and I decided we wanted to do our taxes with a CPA to see if we could get more money back and we were wrong! We made an appointment over the phone with Ebbert CPA and thought everything was fine. We go in for our appointment with the CPA and secretary says he should be in a moment. We waited for a good 15 to 20 minutes and still nothing. So the secretary came in and said he is on the phone with the IRS and asked if we would mind if she got started with the process. We did not care as long as everything got done correctly. We assumed he would eventually come in and finish it and that never happened. He walked by several times and casually waved, but never came in to help or do anything related to us. We just brushed it off and finished. Later I get a call saying the needed more paperwork to make sure everything is correct. I told them several times this is all have and so on and so forth. It seemed to turn into an argument at times, but it eventually got sorted out. So about a month later I mind you we got a call saying our taxes were ready to go over. So we went in a couple of days later to go over it. They quoted me a lump sum of about $1,800 for my total refund. It struck me as odd considering I checked before we saw a CPA online with an estimate much higher than that. I told them it seemed off again the CPA was too busy to attend to us. The secretary said it was checked by multiple people and so on that, there was no way it could be wrong. We decided we wanted a second opinion. That is when the CPA seemed to rush in and again quote there is no way it could be a mistake, but still, we seemed discouraged. We got up to leave, and that is when he said he would gladly like to make an appointment to go over everything in detail. We were already done at this point because he seemed to care so little before why should we waste our time and come back so that he can tell us we are wrong. So later that day I decided to Turbo Tax on my phone and went all the way through it just to see what I would get. Turbo Tax quoted me $3669. Not only that, but everything got sorted out significantly quicker. The documents I had issues with the CPA went through with zero problems. In the end, it got approved by the IRS, and I did not lose almost $2,000 by going to this CPA. I strongly urge anyone not to waste your time with this place because all they want to do is steal your money especially if they think you are too ignorant to question their judgment.
I was audited and came out with a clear pass. I will be the first to admit they are priced higher then the average but in this case you get what you pay for. This was my second audit and there wasn't the stress like there was without them on my first one. Very happy. These are good people.
